Healing overlaps placebo with efficacy, myth with fact. A market typology in Colombia verges on the intersection between city and rural values, folktales, and science, with the cultural integration of indigenous, alternative medicine. This project develops a hierarchically agnostic market space, a machine through which the bio-chemical Colombian landscape can be brought in, understood, refined, and sold. The healing experience becomes a form of corporeal processing in a performative space.

The project defines a ‘well-tempered’ grid to address the tropical architecture of the in-between. Understood as both a Model and System, as both Ideal and Ideology, the building plan develops from the overlap of the works of Sol LeWitt and Vacchini. Order, Form, Scale, Rhythm, obtained through Rotation, Cutting, Mirroring, Interpretation, and Repetition. A well-tempered grid of the tropical space.
